With the combination of generator, polisher, laser marker and measuring unit, you get a whole digital surfacing lab in one compact system. The modules are based on time-tested technologies of their stand-alone counterparts: the state-of-the-art HSC sprint, CCP swift or CCL C*mark.

The full integration of lab management and the lens-design software make the DSC Prolab a self-sufficient surfacing center. If you normally picture a large production line to make digital lenses, it’s time to refresh your perceptive of what is needed to manufacture top-quality lenses.

Generating at its best
The generator of the DSC Prolab builds on the industrial RS-tec motor and guarantees optimal results – even when compared with the best stand-alone generators on the market. The RS-tec motor drives the TwinTool to generate the broadest range of geometries and materials.

The Calibration and Verification System, CVS, makes it easy to align and fine tune the surfacing center during the setup of the machine. In the production mode, the CVS feature offers the ability to run a lens-quality audit at any time. So you can assure that your process runs in spec – lens after lens.

Polishing like the pros
The polishing unit builds on the industry-leading CCP polishing technology, now enabling an ever wider curve range– high wraps included.

The surfacing center technology ensures optimal management and selection of pads for each individual lens.

The top-loading polisher unit makes it easy for the operator to get lenses and pads into their working position. Operators follow easy-to-understand instructions about which tools to choose without worrying about specific tool/material combinations or lens geometries.

When the polishing is done, a washing station cleans the lens to enable neat transfer to the next processing step.

The signature of quality
To verify high manufacturing standards and for precise identification and fitting into the frame, each lens gets a high-quality laser marking signature. The implementation of the industry-proven CCL C*mark laser technology into the surfacing center assures a wear free and consumable free operation of lens marking.

Total process control
With generating, polishing, laser marking, and measuring in one unit, the digital surfacing center automatically coordinates several complex processing steps. The controller of the DSC Prolab organizes all these interactions and decides on needed tools and macros.

For the operator, the complexity of the whole surfacing “line” is boiled down to very few, easy to follow instructions and controls which are graphically displayed on a single touch screen.

Get it running in no time
The DSC Prolab has not only hardware but also the software integration to get your digital surfacing into production in no time. The surfacing center is driven by an on-board lab management system and on-board lens design software. So, the surfacing center can work independently of external data streams.

An industrial infrastructure is not needed to manufacture with the DSC Prolab.
