New spin protection technology replacing tape
Problems with wrinkles, bubbles, detaching, commonly known with tape, are a thing of the past thanks to the SPP Modulo. It replaces tape to optimally protect the lens during the surfacing process utilizing UV-curable liquid protection layers.
Evenly distributed across the lens, the layer optimally covers it while adhering tightly to it – even with extremely curved lenses or extreme flat top bifocals. Bubbles or wrinkles causing power or cosmetic defects are prevented.

The alloy-free and high-performing thin film blocker, CCB Modulo, contributes to an environmentally-friendly production based on the new Eco-Fuse blocking Technology (EFT).

As the perfect supplement, DTS Modulo provides a smooth and efficient technology for deblocking and tape-stripping of two lenses simultaneously.
All you need in one box
At only 72 sq.ft., the all-in-one surfacing center Modulo Center 80 features all the technology to surface 80 lenses/hour without limitations: individual stations for milling and lathe turning, two double spindle polishing units, and a high-performance laser.
Substantial time savings are won through the machine‘s tight integration and by running all processes simultaneously – even milling and lathe turning. It's own dedicated Control Center informs the lab manager at a glance about the current of the machine.

Fully-automated lens cleaning
The LCU 120, effectively cleans large volumes of lenses at a very small footprint. Depending on the requirements, the brush cleaner is available in two versions: A basic version for cleaning the backside of frontside coated lenses and an extended version for cleaning the frontside and the backside.
The lenses are fully-automatedly transferred through the multi-step process. Rotating brushes clean the lenses gently using suitable chemicals. The special brush to lens arrangement immediately casts off the dirt particles.

The new alpha-edger
Thanks to its unique quattro design featuring two rough cut and two finishing stations, HSE Modulo QS processes four lenses simultaneously at highest speeds for exceptional throughput. Non-productive times are reduced to a minimum through parallel processing and high-speed handling systems.
The two sophisticated LMU optical measurement units provide fully automated quality control based on the full lens map. Working blockless is a given.
