New spin protection technology replacing tape
Problems with wrinkles, bubbles, detaching, commonly known with tape, are a thing of the past thanks to the SPP Modulo. It replaces tape to optimally protect the lens during the surfacing process utilizing UV-curable liquid protection layers.
Evenly distributed across the lens, the layer optimally covers it while adhering tightly to it – even with extremely curved lenses or extreme flat top bifocals. Bubbles or wrinkles causing power or cosmetic defects are prevented.

Eco-friendly: Alloy-free EFT plastic blocking
The alloy-free and high-performing thin film blocker, CCB Modulo, contributes to an environmentally-friendly production based on the new Eco-Fuse blocking Technology (EFT).
Parallel processing steps combined with an intelligent block piece concept and highly accurate lens positioning ensure lowest costs, good stability and high quality. As the perfect supplement, DTS Modulo provides a smooth and efficient technology for deblocking and tape-stripping of two lenses simultaneously.
HSC Modulo XTS, fastest generator in the market, comes with an extremely powerful XS-motor. Combined with high-frequency drive technology, a new milling spindle, and intelligent new algorithms, it processes best-in-class quality in the shortest time.
CCP Modulo S, best polisher in the market, provides highest quality without compromising flexibility. Now fitted with high-speed handling systems, it is even faster.
All you need in one box
At only 72 sq.ft., the all-in-one surfacing center Modulo Center 80 features all the technology to surface 80 lenses/hour without limitations: individual stations for milling and lathe turning, two double spindle polishing units, and a high-performance laser.
Substantial time savings are won through the machine‘s tight integration and by running all processes simultaneously – even milling and lathe turning. It's own dedicated Control Center informs the lab manager at a glance about the current of the machine.

The new alpha-edger
Thanks to its unique quattro design featuring two rough cut and two finishing stations, HSE Modulo QS processes four lenses simultaneously at highest speeds for exceptional throughput. Non-productive times are reduced to a minimum through parallel processing and high-speed handling systems.
The two sophisticated LMU optical measurement units provide fully automated quality control based on the full lens map. Working blockless is a given.

The fully automated LCU Modulo lens cleaner is SCHNEIDER’s powerful and efficient inline system to remove contaminations like adhesive residues or fingerprints with brushes. All different kinds of lenses get prepared for subsequent coating processes. To enable a fully automated lens production the LCU Modulo can be extended with the loading robot HRA. After drying the optional unloading robot PRA, takes the lenses out of the running belt and puts them back in the coating job tray.

Electron beam coater, EBC 900, is SCHNEIDER's advanced coating solution for medium-sized and larger Rx labs. Its innovative design enables 70 percent of energy savings while offering high throughput of up to 114 lenses/batch at a time. In addition, SCHNEIDER has solved a problem well-known by everybody wearing glasses: Blurred vision caused by fogged lenses. The brand-new Anti Fog technology provides a clear view for all ophthalmic lenses, sun lenses, sports lenses and visors.
SCHNEIDER has developed a process for tinting of uncoated polycarbonate Rx and freeform lenses. The new technology allows to freely choose between any color style and fashion in combination with best abrasion resistant hard coatings. A broad range of fashion colors for homogenous tinting, brilliant or dark, and gradient tinting is available. Best tinting absorption and exceptional color results are guaranteed.
