The double grinding machine SLG 200-S2 based on digital CNC-technology achieves shortest processing times, high precision and process stability. The SLG 200-S2 has two tool spindles which are mounted parallel on the tilting head. Spindle 1 grinds the lens with a rough tool. Spindle 2 grinds the lens ready-to-polish and without unclamping the lens achieves a fine finishing. The integrated Feed-Control technology optimise the processing time, or shorten air-cutting and guarantees always the optimised feed-rate. The results are shortest processing times, very good sphere quality and stability.
