The SLE 100 centering machine enables precision centering of lenses with the most challenging geometries and delicate materials. The use of interchangeable spindles assures highest centering accuracy and best surface quality. SLE 100 combines face and contour processing with standard tools.

With the CNC control system SINUMERIK 840 Digital, digital servo drives, pre-clamped precision guides and spindles with multiple bearings, the SLE 100 has all the means for consistent precision edging. Using interchangeable spindles enables efficient, precisely aligned external cementing of the lenses. The spindle drive stays free of lateral forces completely eliminating a common centering error. The electronic spindle identi-fication data are directly fed into the machine for flawless processing.

Setup, tool and lens change are done with ease using the graphical user dialog, intelligent tool correction routines, automated spindle clamping and hydro-expansion tool clamping. Infinitely variable feed rates and spindle speeds ensure optimal results.
