SCHNEIDER expands activities in Asia with new facility in Shanghai

On November 28th SCHNEIDER celebrated the opening of its brand new facility in Shanghai, China, in a ceremony with more than 100 invited guests.

Being the pioneer of Freeform technology SCHNEIDER has decisively influenced and shaped the market in the last 15 years and substantially expanded its international operations.

Gunter Schneider, founder and president of SCHNEIDER, welcomed his guests at the grand opening ceremony and spoke about the company’s future intentions for the market: “The Asian market is very promising and we see a big chance to continue our history of success and growth here in China. Expanding our regional operations with yet another facility and being closer to our Asian customers, we will get a better understanding for the needs and demands for technology in Asia. We are convinced that we will find exciting new solutions to meet these demands.” Schneider added. SCHNEIDER Shanghai is the company’s third facility in the Asian territory after successfully establishing subsidiaries in Thailand and Hong Kong.

To achieve the goals, the company has built up an expert team and a special demo facility in the past months. This will enable SCHNEIDER to provide extensive support and service as well as demonstration and training options for their local customers. Additionally a new local warehouse is supposed to guarantee short delivery times for spare parts to the customers.

In the second part of the event the visitors had the opportunity to become more familiar with SCHNEIDER and Freeform. The company offered insights into their rich history, the current product portfolio and future SCHNEIDER innovations and products.
