Schneider is pleased to announce Alvaro Arias Robledo as new Regional Sales Manager Ophthalmics. He will be responsible for Schneider’s sales activities in Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Alvaro earned an International Economics and Management masters degree at SDA Bocconi in Milan, after which he joined Metro International in London as International Business Developer. Later ahead, he entered into the optics industry working for Indo Lens Group based in Barcelona, Spain, where he led the Free-form Solutions division. He has worked with many labs around the globe to successfully implement and optimize their free form business concepts.

"With his vast background in the lens and free form business Alvaro will be an important driver of our digital surfacing business addressing all lab sizes in the ophthalmic community " said Christoph Weber, VP Sales at Schneider.

Alvaro Arias follows Jean-Paul Madaleno who has taken charge of Schneider’s South American sales activities.
