Schneider GmbH & Co. KG, the technology leader in ophthalmic and precision-optical surfacing machines, is pleased to announce Jens C. Tings as their new Purchasing Manager effective January 1, 2009.  His predecessor Martin Schwarz is taking over new responsibilities within the Schneider Supply Chain organization. In his new role Mr. Tings will be responsible for strategic and operative purchasing. Being an Industrial Engineer, Jens C. Tings has held management positions in global Purchasing organizations of Pepperl+Fuchs GmbH, TQ Systems GmbH and Weidmüller Interface GmbH & Co. KG.  He will be focusing on the further optimization of the Supply Chain with external partners and advancement of global sourcing activities.
